I'd like to respectfully make a correction to one of the items you have posted here. I am a descendant of Reuben Rowland (1743-1806) and have done extensive research on him and his family.
Although a respected published source claims that Penelope Clark, the d/o Micajah Clark and Judith Adams, married Reuben Rowland - this is INCORRECT. IT was Reuben's brother Henry who md. Penelope. Henry died in Bedford County in 1773 and Reuben, his brother was named Executor of his estate.
There are other court records in Bedford County substantiating this. After Henry Rowland's death his widow Penelope did marry Jonathan Sanders. Perhaps he was related to the Sanders you show on your post.
I just want to keep this commonly printed error about Reuben Rowland and Penelope Clark from spreading more.
