Hi. You may share an ancestor with me, maybe. Looking for the origins of Elizabeth Adams who married Archibald McNeill before/during/after the Revolutionary War. Children were : Christy, William (Mar. 22 1788- Mar. 7 1855), James, Elizabeth, Martha. They settled along the north shore of the St. Lawrence near Brockville, Edwardsburg County ( at that time) Ontario, Canada. Archibald Mc appears to have "come over " in 1774 leaving from Greenock , Scotland, residing previosly in Paisley , Scotland , if that helps any. Arch. may have been around the Mohawk Valley, and served in the Loyalist cause during the war. Would be pleased to hear from you, even if only to rule it out.
