Thanks Diane.I'll e-mail an MSWord document with what I have on Jesse and his descendants.I had found along the way that Jesse had been a Baptist Minister as well I think that one of his sons succeeded him (William or Jesse P.?)William is who I suspect is Zerilda's father.Zacheriah B. Adams is listed in the 1860 Johnson County census as a "Baptiste Minister."
Several of John Hobbs Adams Senior's children moved to Letcher County Kentucky and surrounding areas (mostly John Hobbs Adams Junior's family).Several of their descendants eventually moved to Missouri but none that I know of moved into Johnson County. It was several of Jacob Adams' sons (Jacob was another son of John Hobbs Adams Senior) that originally moved to Johnson County, MO.Two of those children married sisters of my ggg grandmother, Jane Adams. They all had big families and all used the same dang first names and had no problem whatsoever with marrying first cousins.Makes for some confusing research.
I suspect that Jesse Adams b. 1785 was related to either the John Hobbs Adams Senior line of Adams or the Charles Adams (1711-1780) lines in Wilkes County.John Hobbs and Charles are very likely closely related as well. Charles is my ggggg grandfather.
