I don't have info on the GA Adams but do know some about the NC Adams you are looking for. The Col. Adams and Lucy Beckwith you are searching for from NC are as follows: Lucy Ann Beckwith (30 Oct. 1844-3 Feb. 1928) was the daughter of Green Beckwith. Other children were Lucintha, Daniel G., Lucy, and Calvin, according to 1850 Wake Co. NC census. Col. James Theophilus Adams (7 Sep. 1839-Feb. 19 1918) was the son of James Adams (23 Jan 1805-6 Nov. 1885) who married Elizabeth Avery (7 Oct 1807-7 Aug 1885) on 3 April 1828; siblings were David Columbus, Mary Winnafred, Amyann, Joseph Richard Marcelles, Sivil Amanda, and Bryant Avery. He was the grandson of James Adams (b. 1749 in Virginia, d. 1837 in Wake Co. NC) and Winifred Rowland (1754-1840). Lucy Ann and James were married 28 Sep. 1863 Wake Co. Their children were James Clovis, Annie Lee, Romulus Marion, Wayland Green, Lillie Florence, Carlus Vesta, Maude Lilla, Kenneth Roy, and Maggie. Col. Adams served in Co. D. from Wake Co. This is my husband's line of family (so I'm not familiar with these people other than the info I was given by his aunt many years ago), and I am searching for the parents of Green Beckwith, James Adams (b. 1749 in Va), and Winifred Rowland. In addition, I have Elizabeth Avery's father as Richard (1 Feb 1778-15 Mar 1844, married Mary Ryals) and grandfather as William. Are these peoples' last names possibly Avera? Would appreciate any help on these. I have some imformation (not complete) on the grandchildren of James Theophilus and Lucy Beckwith and will be happy to provide that to anyone whom it would help.
