Greetings, Elisha Adams'name is on the 1757 list of 100 men in Captain Barker's company, composed of men in the Coventry CT area. A footnote at the bottom of the list reads"Each of the above served for two weeks from Aug 10 to Aug 24, 1757... Seven of the above named rode horses from Willington, three from Stafford, fifteen from Ashford, twenty-seven from Coventry, and six from Union." Elisha Adams is my 4th great grandfather. He and his wife Sarah Taylor moved from Coventry CT to Chittenden VT in 1780 and to Pittsford VT in 1784. Information about their family can be found on page 203 of the History of Pittsford by A.M Caverly. Do you have any information about Sarah Taylor? If you do, I would appreciate receiving it.
