I believe that my Ezekiel is the one listed in the 1830 census for Houston Co. GA. In the 1840 census I find him listed as E. Adams in Jasper Co. MS, then in the 1850 census in Copiah/Hinds Co. MS (cant remember which...I misplaced my copy of that one.) I'm pretty sure that these are all the same family, and that his wife's name was Nancy. The only anomalies that I've noted, is that the census taker for the 1830 GA census may have marked his infant boy as an infant girl. At this time a young man is also living with him, whom I believe to be the census taker for Jasper Co. MS in the 1840 census. This man was Simeon R. Adams, who was also Editor for the Eastern Clarion, a newspaper out of Paulding in Jasper Co. I have noted that there were certain families that moved along with this group of Adams on their migration west. The Bankston family is one of these. Ifany of this raises any flags, let me know.
