Judith Lewis Adams was the daughter of Robert and Mourning (Lewis) Adams. She married Michjah Clark b. Sept. 16, 1718 Greensprings, Hannover Co. VA d. 1801 Albermarle Co. VA. They had a son, Christopher Clark b. Apr. 23, 1737 Goochland Co. VA d. 1803 Wilkes Co. GA. Christopher married Mar. 13, 1757 Albemarle Co. VA - Millar Terrell b. June 7, 1741 Caroline Co. VA d. ? Millar was disowned by her family Mar. 4, 1811 for marrying out of the faith. Reason disownment took so long isn't known by this researcher at this time. The Clark's were Quakers. Christopher was a Revolutionary Soldier. In Christopher's Will dated 1800 Elbert Co. GA, it listed children. Christopher and Millar had a son named Christopher and daughter named Judith. He also left 2000 acres of land in KY for his wife to sell.
I would like to know more about this family if you have additional information to share. I'm not too up on the Quaker faith to know why someone would disown their child for marrying a person who was a Quaker.
