Some of the names ring a bell with me.My maiden name is Adams, and I have carried my line back to Absalom Adams, b. Abt. 1767.I have Absalom in the 1800, 1810, 1830, 1840 and 1850 census in Robeson County, NC. In the 1800 and 1810 census, there is a Willoughby Adams living nearby.I have also found in the Marion County, SC Probate Records, Volume 1, an estate sale of Ezekiel Adams, late of Little Pee Dee 9 Dec 1805.I have also found in the Colony of NC 1735-1764 Abstracts of Land Patents where Ezekiel and Willoughby Adams had lands in Craven County, NC. My g-grandfather's name was Nathan E. Adams - I believe the Nathan was after Elizabeth/Isabel Horn/e's father and perhaps the E could have Ezekiel(???)from the grandfather of Absalom???I am very interested in taking my line back further. If any of this sounds familiar, please respond.I have an extensive file from Absalom Adams to the present.Am willing to share.
