Seasons Greetings! And thanks so much for the warm reply.
There are those who are born educators and writers while others should not be encouraged.Alas, I fall into the latter, but fortunately there are people like you share their enlightment, talent and knowledge freely. So I would suppose that in the universal scheme of things, a healthy balance settles in.
I took the liberty to post your replyto meon one of the Wilburnwebsites. But fear not. You will not be overwhelmed with Adcock/Wilburn researchers.Instead, my motive was to share your perspective with others who will find appreciation in your commentary.
Now about the Lilburns.I know nothing about them. Other than I have seen some Lilburn families in Goochland, VA records c 1750, along with Wilburns...Initially, I wondered if this was simply a spelling issue. But this did not seem to be the case. The Liburns appeared to be a distinct line unto themselves. And I could find no evidence that would suggest that they were once Wilburns who decided to vary their surname.
Again, I do thank you.I have you book marked for future reference. No doubt you will hear from me again. But I do promise to be gentle regarding your time.
