Would you compare what I have with what you have and comment on any differences? JOHN A. ADCOCK (Ab) was born September 10, 1758 in Buckingham County, Virginia and served the cause of freedom in the Revolutionary War. He made application for a pension in Robertson County, Tennessee in 1834 and in that application he said that he had moved to Robertson County in 1822. A John A. Adcock (ab?) was wed to Sally Wheeler on February 13, 1787 in Buckingham County, Virginia (69-103). The man who provided surety for John and Sally when they were married was Thomas Pasley who was married to Wi ie Adcock on November 17, 1785 in Buckingham County, Virginia. Winnie (Winifred) Adcock was under age at the time of her marriage. The Wheeler name also appeared in association with another Adcock household in Robertson County, Tennessee. In 1850 there is a Kissiah Wheeler who was born in 1750 in Virginia enumerated in the household of Samuel Railey who married Mariah Adcock, daughter of John A. Adcock (R12188). Was Kissiah a relative of Sally Wheeler?
I am not related to the Adcocks, but several of my family married Adcocks.I am a sentimental historical geographer of the Sycamore Creek Basin.
