I have greatly enjoyed reading your posts and respect your tireless work.I have copied them to add to my family information if I am able to verify the connection.I have just begun looking into William Adcock (b. 1792 NC, d.Feb. 12, 1865 Clark AR). William Adcock shows up on my gggrandmother Mary Elizabeth Yoe's marriage certificate as her grandfather giving his permission for her to marry at age 17.
A cousin has the following connections but without a lot of documentation to verify:
William Adcock, son of John Adcock (b. 1775 Gransville, NC, d. 1822 Rutherford, TN) and wife Sarah Wheeler (no info).
John Adcock, son of John Adcock (b. 1735 Granville Bute, NC, d. 1822 Rutherford, TN) and wife Elianor Partee (b. 1745 France)The duplicate death dates and locations for both John's seems unlikely.
John Adcock, son of John Adcock (b. 1700 Essex, VA, d. 1780 Granville, NC) and wife Eliza Carter (b. 1698 Buckingham, VA )
John Adcock, son of Henry Adcock (b. 1678 Essex, VA, d March 26, 1738 Essex, VA)and wife Susannah White (b. 1682 Rochester, Plymouth MA, d. 1733 Sandwich, Barnstable, MA)
Henry Adcock, son of Edward Adcock (b. 1642 York, VA, d. July 7, 1716 S. Fartham Parish, Essex, VA) and wife Elizabeth Smith (b. 1652 Lancaster, VA, d. 1709 Essex, VA)
Do the connections sound valid to you?Have you ever run across my William Adcock? Is it still possible to receive the 30 page document you mentioned on your research?
Thank you all for sharing your information and ideas. It is very interesting.
