SUBJECT Relates to a messuage in the town of Buckingham near to a street called West Street.
The document begins by reciting an indenture of 1752 in which the property comes into the hands of Thomas Hucknell. John Addington then agreed to buy it for £200 but "the premises being subject to such power of entry and distress on non-payment of the said weekly rent charge ............... and being also contingently subject to the dower and thirds of Anna, the wife of Thomas Huckell" they agree to a legal device to avoid those problems.
This device involves Thomas Knight and William Woode acting as Trustees holding the property in trust for John Addington.
