Hi Tim, Thank you for your email.Like yourself I agree that my husbands and your families are more that likely related.Westmorland is also where my father was born. I am happy to share with you. Have you seen the IGI microfiche?I have copies of the 20 pages of the LDS microfiche put out by them in 1984. Going through them I counted about 30 Addison names. The earliest being a christening on 13/12/1596 of Christopher son of Thomas Addison. I do not know how you find out information, but I have found this a useful search area.It gives you the names of all the Addisons in Westmorland and as before registration in 1830 a lot of searching is done through parish registers, and this you have already discovered by John Addison marriage to Ellen Parkinson on 8th Sept 1747 at Croswaite & Lyth, the copies I have may be of interest to you.The Batch No M003141 for Ellen and John's marriage is the same as the 30 other Addison's listed. With the changing of a "c" for a christening as for a "M" for a marriage etc. Where this gives you names and dates of family members (which are definately related) it may be a cousin not a direct line I have found it a great reference.
