Hi, I have a Williamson ancestor, one Thomas Dorsey Williamson, who married Mary Susan Adkins in the Chickasaw Nation.T. D.'s father, Dr. Thomas Clay Williamson, had raced around all over N. Texas and Southern and Central Oklahoma (then IT) while working for the RR, we think, dragging his family with him.We know he lived in Healdton, IT, and near McAlester, now Oklahoma, (his 2nd wife, Rhoda Naomi Cornwell Mathews Williamson, who he married in Pontotoc County, MS, is buried in Marshall County, OK), and was also in Denton and Collin Counties, TX - Wise County isn't that far away.T. D. and Mary Susan moved with T. C. to homestead and founded the town of Brown, IT.T. C. died prior to Oklahoma statehood and is buried in the Brown, OK, Pottwatomie County (near Tecumseh) cemetery. His 3rd wife, M. E. Williamson, (who may possibly have been an Adkins, too) is also buried there. She died in 1897.T. C died in 1904.The earliest date on atombstone in that cemetery is Thomas C., son of T. D. and M. S. Williamson (1891-1892).There are two other children M. S. and T. D. buried there: Maudie S. (1894-1895) and Pierce D. (1896-1898).
