In Deed Book E (1815-1817) a Lewis Atkins is listed as a delinquent property owner on two tracts ofland, 100 and 70 (acres?) - one was purchased by William McDaniel and the other by Joseph Willard (apparently for the amount of taxes due of 2.46 and 1.14) Source: "Monroe Co.
