Adkins/ Cabell County death lookup request -after 1880

Im searching for the death certificate information on Reuben Adkins born approx. 1836.He was last found on the 1880 census with his wife Sarah at the age of 44. Hoping this will lead to his mother's maiden name.His parents are John and Nancy Adkins. Sources say Nancy's maiden name is Morrison..but research shows otherwise. Dates dont match, siblings dont match...etc.
