There is no will or accounts for William Adkins. It appears from deed studies that all of his holdings had been disposed of for his support during his long life time. The final four dispositions that I found were DB 76 p. 551 (27 Dec. 1880) where Owen Adkins sold to William T. Hoskins 100 acres "upon which the said Owen Adkins now resides in consideration that the said William T. Hoskins doth bargain and agree to maintain and support the said Owen Adkins Sr. for the balance of his lifetime." In 1875 (DB68 p. 72) and again in 1882(DB 80 p. 482), Owen was ordered to deed land to John Sanders Kendrick to settle lawsuits for a total of 285 acres. Also in 1873, he deeded 142 1/2 acres to his daughter Permelia. Land records show Owen as grantee for 470 acres and grantor (over many years) for 1500 acres. Hope this helps.
