IRVIN R. ADLER
ROCKY MOUNT - Irvin R. Adler, 81, died Friday, March 3, 2006.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Sauls officiating.
Irvin served in the U.S. Navy as Yeoman First Class during WWII.
He was affiliated with Adler's Department Store in Tarboro for 20 years and retired as an insurance agent after 25 years of service.
Irvin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Hathaway Adler; a daughter, Esther Frances Votino of Lake Park, Fla.; two sons, Steven S. Adler of Cary, and Phillip Adler of Aberdeen, Wash.; three step-daughters, Gail F. Rice and Rose F. Gay, both of Farmville, and June F. Cherry of Tarboro; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro.
