My wife's grandfather was Edwin Tappan Adney, who spent a great deal of time in the early 1900s researching the Adney family. Unfortunately, his work was never published. I am trying to correct this by posting some genealogical information on the web, but it is sort of piecemeal at the moment. However, you might check out my information at http://www.siterrific.com/Adney/FHDaniel/FH_TOC.htmhttp://www.siterrific.com/Adney/FHDaniel/FH_TOC.htm and also http://www.siterrific.com/Adney/FHDanielSusan/FH_TOC.htmhttp://www.siterrific.com/Adney/FHDanielSusan/FH_TOC.htm. The first gives some sketchy early history, and then the descendants of Thomas's son Daniel via his first wife, Anna Koger. The second one follows the descendants of Daniel and his second wife, Susan Alexander. Tappan Adney actually interviewed Susan, Daniel's widow, in 1904, shortly before she died. See also my site for William (3), son of Thomas, son of John, who was the founder of the Adneys in western Wisconsin and eastern Iowa. The address is http://www.siterrific.com/Adney/Genealogy/FH_TOC.htmhttp://www.siterrific.com/Adney/Genealogy/FH_TOC.htm. I was just going to post these new addresses on the GenForum Board when I saw your message. Hope it helps. Tappan Adney wrote much more detail about Thomas than currently appears, however. I'll get that on sometime soon!
