Do you have any additional information on Elizabeth Adrian and John Davidson?Especially Elizabeth M. Adrian.John Davidson is my ggggrandfather.I have been trying to find the name of his wife for a long time.On page 86 of "Historical Sketches - Presbyterian Churches and Early Settlers in NE Georgia" by Rev. Groves Harrison Carledge -- it says that Elder John Davidson is the son-in-law of Elder David Adrian.
From John Davidson's war records -- he says he was born 1761 in Pennsylvania.He moved to Union District, South Carolina when he was a boy.He enlisted in Union District and fought many battles in the Rev.He was wounded in the battle of Cowpens.However, he lived to be 95 and is buried in Jasper County, GA.
He married 9/1/1791 in Greene County, Georgia.He and his wife had six children.They later moved to Jasper County, GA. and raised their children in that area.Their children were Mary M., Robert, Margaret, Jane, David and John.
I notice you have the Rutherford name in your file. John Davidson had two brothers who married cousins (both named Elizabeth Mayes).The mothers of both of these ladies were Jean Rutherford and Mary Rutherford.They were sisters from the Rutherford family from York County, SC.
