Hi: Hope this information helps........ John (3), son of John (2) and Abigail Graves Adsit, was born in 1757, and died March 22 1827 in Crawford Co., Pa.He served in the Rev. War, with Capt Abner Hawleys Co., Reg of Albany Militia, and had an outstanding record as a runner and athlete (could out run any indian).He left NY State ca 1823 to visit his son, Richard (my ggggrandfather) who moved to Crawford Co., Pa. in 1818.Richard settled in 1820 two miles south of Conneaut Lake, where he and the generations to follow farmed, lumbered, and was in various building trades. John (3) died March 22 1827 on his sons homestead.He choice the site where he wanted to be buried;a knoll north of the house.Today this is the Adsit Cemetery, the land donated by Richard for future generations. John (3) Adsit married Tamar Holdridge, of Columbia Co., NY, who died on March 6 1842, at the home of her son, John (4),in Clifton Park, Saratoga Co., NY.She is buried in the Methodist Episcopal Cem at W. Crescent, NY.I listed the names & birthdatesof their children in my previous post.Here's some more information: 1.John B. born 1785 died in 1869 and was buried at Crescent, NY 2. Richard (1) was born in 1788 & died Aug 20 1867.He served in the War of 1812. 3. Lydia, married John Marston 4. Shadrack, born in 1793, died in 1846, buried at Sand Lake, NY 5. Benjamin, born in 1795 and died in 1867; buried in Traverse City, Mich 6. Tamar, married Robert Campbell & moved to Wisc.
