I suspect that your Evaline Clementine Agard is related to my James S. Agard as they both were in Portage Co., OH.
The Portage Co., OH deeds will probably shed some light on your family. I have looked at the Index to Deeds [FHL #900,893] and have some notes, but have not seen the actual deeds. It would appear from the index that Evaline is an heir of Phebe L. Agard, but I don't know who Phebe is.
The earliest Agard deed is in 1836 when Phebe L Agard obtained 25 acres in Brimfield from Aurelia Emerson [24:343]. Next there is an 1846 deed of Benjamin Agard to John Agard, again for 25 acres in Brimfield [47:71]. There are six deeds in 1853, all for land in Brimfield, with no parcel larger than 25 acres. Your family figures in four of those.
Bertha C & Aurilla P Agard to Eveline C Bohan, 60:478 and 62:360 Bertha E & Aurilla P Agard from Daniel L Boham, 60:453 and 62:159
The other deeds involving heirs of Phebe L Agard are 62:157 and 62:161. These too may mention your family even though they are not named in the index. All these transactions look like they were probably settling an estate in which they were heirs, (possibly siblings?), to some land.
In 1835 Benjamin Agard was on the Brimfield census and my James S Agard was on the Boston, Portage Co., OH census.
In 1840 the supposed Revolutionary Soldier, John Agard (R62) was on the federal census at Brimfield, OH. He was born ca. 1762 according to his pension record. I suspect he moved to Portage Co., OH to be near other Agard relatives, but I haven't yet sorted out the families.
