Based on the information in several databases I’ve come across, which I think comes out of “A Record of the Agee Family,” it appears that Noah Agee, b. 27 Mar 1810, married Winifred or Winiford Pritchett. I found the 1850 census showing the family at that date, which includes Hercules, b. 1848.

I’ve been unable to locate later census for them, except for Hercules. This is the only Hercules Agee listed in the 1850 Census in AL that is close to that birth date. There is one other but his initial is “L,” and his date is a little further off. My best guess is that this is your Hercules W. Agee. If the information below is correct, my Hercules Joseph Agee, b. 1822 NC, was probably a cousin. I’ve been unable as yet to prove our connection, but it looks very likely.
The Agees commonly used the given name Hercules. There are quite a number of them. I’m pretty sure they all go back to the original Huguenot family of VA. I do find Hercules W. (with Narcissa) Agee in later censuses in AL, living amongst other Agee families, but none of those Agee neighbors seem to be any of the individuals listed in the Noah Agee family of 1850. Nor do they show in earlier censuses with a Hercules, so again, they are probably cousins.
