hi gary...my info on mathieu is much like your except i think the settlement along the james river just west of richmond va was manikantown not midlothian. i visited the area along state route 711 going west out of richmond about four yrs ago. there found the huguenot library with lots of info (copies of vestry books church data etc) there is still a reproduction of the original church there with a plaque dedicated to mathieu agee for his service to the church. the town of manikantown still exists but relocated many many yrs ago to the north side of the james from the south side. i have more info on the huguenot settlers if anyone is interested...lyn
