According to Ancestry.com John W. (Probably for William or Willis) is the son of William and Louisa Jane Agnew.
William Agnew was born Jun 1856 in Vermont and Louise Jane was born Feb 1858 in Kentucky. William was a farm Laborer for David and Lydia Seely when he was fourteen years old (1870 census) in Bristol, Fillmore County, MN. He was a janitor for a school in 1920 census in White Earth, Becker County, MN. He and Jane (Called Louisa on the 1920 census) were both still alive in 1920).
In 1900 Census William called Willis and Louisa called Jane had 7 children. They had been married for 21 years. So they got married in about 1879.
The children were Willis (Jun 1880), John W (27 Jun 1881), Richard T. (Sep 1882), Earnest (Nov 1886), Grace A. (Jul 1888), Elsie B. (June 1889) and Rolland E. (Aug 1893)
In 1907-1908 Elsie married Joseph DeGroat - born 1888 in Wisconsin (he was a barber who owned his own shop). Her mother and brother Rollande were living with them in 1910 in Ogema Village, Becker County, MN.
Rolland was married to Nellie and renting in Hesper, Benson County, North Dakota in the 1920 cencus. He was a farmer. By 1930 he had moved back to Rosebud, Polk, MN. He appears to have a second wife then too. Named Irene J. and a daughter Joyce B. who was born in 1919. He owned a barber shop in 1930. Also switch the spelling of his name to Roland.
Richard also owned a barber shop in 1930 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. He was married to Edith (born 1886-1887 in Kansas) and had two children Beatrice and Roland.
