Robert Agnew and Martha Thurston, Ontario

I believe that the Robert Agnew and his wife Martha Thurston are my great grandparents. My Grandfather was William Edmund Agnew who was maried to Ruby Clark. He grew up on a farm north east of the town of Lindsay Ontario. His brother Robert bought and operated the farm across the road from the family farm. Willam taught school at a one room schoolhouse that was just around the corner from the family farm when he was a young man. He later bought a house at 21 Regent street in Lindsay where he raised his family. He served as the County Clerk for many years and operated an insurance business. In around 1919 or 1920 he built a cottage on Sturgeon Lake which was the first cottage on the south shore of the lake.
I know that my great grandfather (Robert) was a cobbler by trade and I have a few of his old tools that he used for making footwear. I believe that they are buried in Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay in a large Agnew plot.
