Thanks for message. It got me started.I got info on Felix Agnew (1831) - Ann Boylan (1830) both born in Ireland, parents unknown and arrived in USA 1850. Found they are listed in CT town Marriage records Pre-1870 listed in Barbour Collection Vol #3, P-122. They were listed as Felix AGUERG - Anna BEGLON of Norfolk, CT, married on 15 AUG 1852 by Rev John Smith in Cornwall, CT. The names thru me until I got their children's birth certificates and Felix's Civil War military Record and Ann's Filing for Declaration of Widow's Pension.Felix was in 14th HVY Arty, entered service in 1863 fought in battles in VA and was taken POW 30 Sep 1864 at poplar Springs VA and shipped off to Sharon SC & went back n forth between their & Andersonville GA.He died on 21 Apr 1865. On July 25, 1865, Ann filed for pension.US Adj. General office In Wash DC ltr of 12 Oct 1867 verified all data an awarded Ann a widow's pension. When she filed for Felix's widow's pension in sworn affidavit to Judge, St. lawrence, Co. Rossie, NY she listed her maiden name as Ann BOYLAN and Felix AGnew, not like on marriage cert. She and James B, John and Matthew Arthur stayed at Rossie, NY until they sold the land in 1869.
Now, I am searchin to see where they went. Time frame 1869 to 1879 is unaccounted. I believe it maybe Housatanic, MA.It is village near Great barrington MA where John and his wife Nellie Ellen Costello, who lived in Great Barrington, MA.1880 Census has Ann Agnew living in Waterbury, CT and 2 years later her son John & Nellie were married according to Marriages registered in Great Barrington, MA on 24 Aug 1882. John was living in Waterbury, CT working as matcher of Lumber.John & Nellie had first child Frank 27 July 1883.They had 4 othersAnnie Laure (1885), Arthur (1886), my father, George (1891) & Edith (1892).John died 25 Oct 1892).Ann lived in house next to John until her death 4 Sep 1899.Nellie Ellen died 12 Dec 1923.Have all info on John, my father, & Edith.Lots of missing links on Frank & George which I am still looking for.Now startin to look for Nellie Ellen's parents who were John Costello & Catherine Donahue both born in Ireland, lived in West Stockbridge MA & Great Barrington. So,have a long road to travel.
