I so wish I had a bit more info on Jean/Jane.I did find a death notice in the Wigtownshire Free Press: KENMUIR/AGNEW, Jean - D28/7/1851 - At Drumdow, parish of Kirkolm, on the 28th instant, aged 81 years, Jean Agnew, relict of Mr Charles Kenmuir, formerly tenant in Ervie.Working back that puts her birth c1770.
Also from the Wigtownshire Pages, Kirkolm Death Entries: Kenmuir, wid. 31st July 1851 [Jean Agnew] Balsarroch.
Do you have birth dates for William Agnew and Agnes McDowell, also their children.I'm wondering whether your James [married to Jean/Jane Drynn] was a brother to my Agnes b1799 who married William Galbraith.
