There are three items included in this post. My e-mail to Jane Brooks. a post by Jane to the Westbrook Yahoo Group Jane's reply giving me permission to post her writing on Rootsweb and Genforum for the surname AGNEW.
You will all get a huge belly laugh by reading Jane Brook's antics! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read what she wrote. She proved her Westbrook lineage through YDNA testing at familytreedna. Without ydna testing, she would still have a brick wall for her surname Westbrook.
The Agnew DNA Project has only 10 members, we could use a lot more males in this project. The Westbrook DNA Project at famiilytreedna has 28 members, and another group I follow, (Kincaid DNA Project), has 170 members because they actively pursue new members for the Kincaid DNA project.
So males Agnew’s, submit your YDNA to help us Agnew’s prove our lineage.

I read what you wrote on the Westbrook Yahoo Group! Thank you for your post!!!!
Can I copy and paste what you wrote on the Westbrook Yahoo Group to ROOTSWEB and GENFORUM for the surname AGNEW? I like your appeal for all males and females to find more male Westbrook’s to have their YDNA tested at familytreedna.
The AGNEW Project at familytreedna has only 10 members. I convinced my cousin to submit his DNA and two other Agnew's to submit their dna to the AGNEW project.
Thanks for reading my e-mail and thank you again for your colorful posting on the Westbrook List on Yahoo.
Regards, Nancy Agnew Peché

Hear! Hear! I'm adding my voice to Virginia's to plead for DNA donors! Everyone on this Project is looking for someone or trying to fill in gaps ...........there's no better way to help build a bigger data base of Westbrook information than through DNA testing!
We have over 400 members here and still, less than 30 have tested.
Ladies! Find those men with the surname and prevail on them to test!
Men! Search out your male kin, no matter how distant, and prevail on them to test if you hesitate to do it yourself........though I can't understand why you would!
Even if you're not a rabid researcher, DNA results can help preserve family history for those generations to come who might just like to know where their people came from! People die, letters get lost, Aunt Sara didn't have her facts quite right..........these things happen.....DNA can help solve many things..........just one more important tool of "the Great Hunt".........and a lot cheaper than making an out of town trip to hunt through some records! Just do it!
Best, Jane Brooks (proven Westbrook through DNA!)

Bless your heart! You go right ahead and paste away! These Reluctant Roberts and Lackadaisical Larrys drive me to distraction! After you've picked yourself up, bloodied and bruised, in front of those Brick Walls often enough, you're just about ready to do anything legal to get a donor! I chased the wrong surname for years before DNA put me on the right track so you can understand why I'm such a big fan. And then, when DNA markers established the two completely separate lines of Westbrooks in Virginia, I was totally convinced what a powerful tool this is. If we could just tell all these fellas............ jump in..........the water's fine!
I wish you all the luck with the Agnews..........would love to know the outcomes! You're wonderful to pay for these kits.......don't you wish we could sponsor everybody! I keep digging down to do the same but it's slow business! Never have bought a lottery ticket, but I'm giving it serious thought now! LOL!
