Through YDNA testing at familytreedna.com it was found my first cousin Richard William Agnew does not have AGNEW dna but instead has BEARD or BAIRD dna.Richard and I match as 1st cousins on the Family Finder test. This dna change is believed to have started before Levi Agnew;s birth in 1803. My cousin shares a genetic distance of 1 with two Beard's whose ancestors were in Pennsylvania prior to 1803.

It could in any generation of Skip’s ancestors however I would still start with Levi and if that does not come up with anything, work down through the census data to find when Agnew ancestors lived close to BEARDs of some spelling.
Additional thought for # 3 thought. The TiP predictor indicates the BEARD DNA is highly likely to be somewhere within the first 8 upstream generations.
In comparing Y-DNA 67 marker results, the probability that Charles Edward BEARD & Bobby Joe BEARD and Richard William Agnew shared a common ancestor within the last...
