George H. Agnew of Venice died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004. He was 88.
He was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Tyrone, Pa., and moved to the area 27 years ago from Haddon Heights, N.J. He was a research chemist for Rohm and Haas Company in Bridesburg and Bristol, Pa. He was involved in Scouts and Little League. He delivered Meals on Wheels for 25 years in Venice. He belonged to the Methodist church in New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Agnes; three daughters, Christine WILSON of Wamega, Kan., Betty HOSIERof Hampton Township, N.J., and Mary Jane MOFFITT of Barnsboro, N.J.; one son, Robert of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
