Debbie Have had a reply to an email from a Rev Fleck who looks after Upper clonaneese Pres. church in Killeeshill, Co Tyrone and this is the info he gave me: "I wish to confirm that William James Agnew and Mary Ann Clarke married in Upper Clonaneese Presbyterian Church on the 2nd April 1888His father was Alexander Agnew and her father was John Clarke."
"My records go back to 1868 but I have no record of any other Agnew or Clarke getting married."
"In my Baptism records the only records I have with Agnew are as follows, but I do not know if he is of the same family:
Alexander Agnew and Hannah ? (surname not given!!!) had the following children:
Alexander- born on 23rd Oct. 1868
Martha-29th Dec. 1871
Eliza Jane-9th July 1874
Thomas Agnew and Mary Jane Ellison had the following children:
Robert Harry- born 2nd Sept. 1878
John-7th Dec. 1879
William James-25th Jan. 1881
William James-24th April 1884
Joseph-10th Oct. 1885
Mary Jane-13th Jan. 1886
Isabella-1st Oct. 1887
Hannah Eliza-10th Dec. 1889
Margaret-2nd Mar. 1892
The only death we have in our record books is:
Mary Agnew - 6th Jan. 1965 (who appears to have come from Dublin)"
