Jose de Aguiar Toledo is supposedly born in Angra do Heroismo around 1774. His brother and him emigrated to Brazil before 1790 and spent some time in Minas Gerais province and from there he sttled down in a place that was known as Bananal in São Paulo province. Jose de Aguiar Toledo was a pioneer as a coffee farmer and his descendants were very known as coffee farmers in the XIX century. There was a brazilian writer that wrotes that Jose de Aguiar Toledo was a descendant from a spanish family that fight netherlanders that attack Salvador, then the brazilian colonial capital, in the beginning of the XVII century. Frm Spain they emigrated sometime to Açores islands. I am a direct descendat of him and would appreciate any information related to this person.
