Please can someone help me?My grandfather was Pedro Aguilar b. 1898 in New Mexico. We have listed as his father Antonio Aguilar, yet we have heard so many crazy stories we're not sure anymore. He had a "brother" (story says he wasn't his "real" brother, but they were "taken in" at the same time and raised together)His name was Damian Aguilar, he supposedly is buried in Capulin Colorado. There also was mention of a man called "Tio Philipe' who we believe died in Colorado as well... His story (My grandfather Pedro) was that his father was a "White" from Texas and he was raised by the Aguilar family in New Mexico... he also said he had indian blood and was raised for a time on an indian reservation by a family of "Stone" (surname) who was related. He took back the Aguilar name (I guess he'd had the Stone name for awhile as he was raised with them) back just before he was married (supposedly) SOME LONG LONG CRAZY STORIES HERE!His first wife was Cresencia Martinez I believe was her maiden name... I don't believe there were any children to this union... He then married my grandmother Desideria Aguilar in 1935.The places listed on different paperwork were mentioned as possible links were:Roy,Las Vegas,Monero,Mora,Wagon Mound,La Petaca N.M.My grandparents both lived their married life in Colorado/San Luis Valley. My grandfather's brothers were listed on a 1900 census of New Mexico, my grandfather just being a lil' over a year at the time, so he was in the home of the Aguilars as a babe.Brothers:Manuel Aguilar, born 1885, Las Vegas, 2. Domicindo Aguilar (Not sure of the spelling could be Gomisindo), 3. Sabina Aguilar (sister obviously), 4. Juan Pedro Pablo Aguilar (My grandfather), listed as birthplaces of them all as Las Vegas, NM and yet on another chart I have it lists my grandfathers as Wagon Mound N.M. Long story to try to find some help, if anyone has heard even the mention of one of these names possibly, please email me, I have looked for many years.
