Thanks for responding to me so fast.I need to find out if my great-grandfather had brothers or sisters (which I'm sure he did, what Mexican doesn't). I will also find out if he was born in Jalisco.Since, my grandmother was born there it could be a posssiblity connection. There is only one great aunt left in my Aguilar family. Her name is Helea. She currently lives in Ventura.
I myself to not speak our language. I am third generation of Mexican-American plus Apache Indian (from my father's side)born here in the United States. So, don't feel bad. I do speak some (slang) and read Spanish.
Maybe if you have a 1st or 2nd generation that are still alive maybe you can ask if they knew a Timothy (Timateo in spanish). My great-grandfather preferred Timateo. My great-grandparents are buried in the old cementary in East Los Angeles. At the time, E.Los Angeles cementary was the only one around for Catholics.
Well, let me know what you did to research and maybe we can help each other.
