Dear Cousin Anne,
I just today went into the Aguirre Message Board, after an absence of several months and saw your post dated Aug. 14, 1999.There is one name and one name only that caught my eye and that was Bartolome Aguirre.I was in communication with another relative who was inquiring about the same person, his name is Andrew. If you would care to e-mail me and give me your e-mail address I can give you Andrews address.E-mail me at [email protected]
Andrew claims that Bartolome was born 1744, married Andrea Colomo and lived in the area of Julimes/Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico. He read in a book containing the Aguirre genealogy that Bartolome was the son of Juan Miguel Aguirre Orio and Rosalia Rodriguez. The following are the siblings of Bartolome.Salvador, Maria Ana, Maria Manuela, Manuel Joseph, Maria, Maria Rita, Joseph, Maria Josepha, Joseph Manuel and Juan Francisco.
Juan Miguel Aguirre Orio and Rosalia Rodriguez were married June 26 1733, Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.I have no other information on Rosalia Rodriguez, but Juan Miguel was the son of Captain Joseph Aguirre Sagardia, born 1687, Aranaz, Nevarre, Spain, and Nicolasa de Orio y Garcia.
The parents of Joseph Aguirre Sagardia were, Pedro Aguirre and Maria de Sagardia.Nicolasa was the daughter of Joseph de Orio y Zubiate one of the original settlers of Chihuahua, Chihuahua in 1704, His wife was a Garcia first name unknown.
José Aguirre Sagardia was a Captain in the Army and Alférez of Chihuahua, responsible for collection of taxes for the King.Joseph Aguirre Sagardia and his father-in-law Joseph de Orio y Zubiate were in the mining business and owned vast stocks of land.
Hope this will help, have much more information, let's share.
Your Cousin
Rodolfo José Villalba y Gutierrez Aguirre Garcia Escobar Palacios
