Abigail is named guardian of son, Spencer, and granddaughter, Rebecca.
After Abigail's death, James W. Ahart, is appointed guardian of Spencer and Rebecca.In Dec. 1855, the court revokes James Ahart's guardianship of Spencer and Rebecca because he is a non-resident of Missouri and Peter B. McKay is appointed guardian of the children, Spencer, 16, and Rebecca, 8.
