Bridget "Betty" Ahearn a 45-year resident of Naperville Services for Bridget "Betty" Ahearn, 71, will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, proceeding to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Naperville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born Sept. 30, 1934, in Chicago, she died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, after a long illness. She is at peace with the Lord and Virgin Mary. Mrs. Ahearn attended Precious Blood Grammar School and St. Patrick's Girls High School, both in Chicago. Betty was the clothing manager for more than 30 years for the Serendipity Thrift Shop and a clerk for Worth Repeating Resale Shop, both in Naperville. She was also a volunteer for several other charitable resale shops in the area and an avid "garage seller" known as the "Queen of Garage Sales." She is survived by her husband and best friend of 51+ years, Terrence "Terry" Ahearn; children, John (Kathy) of Naperville, Terry of Oklahoma City, Bridget Erickson of Sycamore, Ill. and Kathleen Ahearn of Clearwater, Fla.; brothers, Al Brennan of Arizona and Dick (Shelby) Brennan of Moulton, Ala.; sister, Margaret Larson of Huntley; and grandchildren, Amber Stevens, Robert and James Erickson, Tracy and Jake Ahearn, and Patrick Ahearn. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna (nee McNamara) Brennan, who immigrated from Ireland in the 1920s; brothers, James and John Brennan; her favorite uncle, Tom McNamara; and niece, Christina Rea.
