Re: George Aiken Hayes(Hays)

Our George was born 1785 possibly in VA. I looked in the Augusta County records and Aiken
could be Eakin or Akin as you probably have already figured out. I am know just looking at the Aiken name and can't seem to find our connection. George names a daughter Jane Akin or Mary Jane Akin. I assume it was after his mother.I have seen all the Aikens in SC and I have considered them as well as the "Donner" family.George's granddaughter is "Martha Donner Hayes". I will look some more! Right now I am looking for others as well. Don't you just love seeing all these old folks even if they are not yours?
