Albert Ambrose AIKEY's father was about 6 years or so when he and his mother returned via train to Mt. Eagle, PA, Centre County, PA about 1870 or so.They had been in the "Wheat Country" of the west and were there with "Dad", "Mom", "Older Brother", and A. Ambrose AIKEY's father (then about 6 yrs. old).
Mrs. AIKEY got sick shortly after their arrival in the "Wheat Country" (Nebraska, Minn, S.D. or ??).Her husband and their older son (about 12 or 14 or ?? years old) stayed to work the farm and "Mom" and A.A.A.'s dad came back to PA so that "MOM" could recover.She didn't recover, but died within a short period of time of returning to PA.
Albert Ambrose AIKEY's father was raised by his maternal grandmother.Her name has also been lost in the sands of time.
No family story survives as to the name of the dad and older brother, therefore there is not any informaiton as to siblings.
