I am a dscendant of Samuel Alexander Hubble, b. 1852, probably in Yell Co., Arkansas. His father was Ebenezer Hubble, who appears on the 1850 census there. His mother was Elizabeth ?, who appears on the 1850 and 1860 census there.
There are also the following Hubbles who may be connected, but I don't know:
1850 Yell Co. AR census Ebenezar (this was Ebenezer above) Hubble, Lower Fourche Tsp., p. 501; Isam Hubble Lower Fourche Tsp., p. 502; Joel C. Hubble, Magazine Tsp., p. 477 (1830-1839, there was a Joel Hubble on tax lists in Pope Co. and Joel C. Hubble on 1837 tax list, Pope Co. and Joel on 1830 Lawrence Co. Census); James Hubble, Spring Creek Tsp., p. 1128; Wm. Hubble, Spring Creek, p. 486.
1860 Yell Co. AR census In 1860, Yell Co., there was also: W. R. Hubble, Ward Tsp., p. 1136
The Hubbles also appear to have connections to the Aikmans and the Morses, as four Morse children and one Aikman child was living with them in 1850.
The children of Matthew Morse and Mary Aikman Mar 15, 1835, Pope Co., AR, who were living with the Hubbles in 1850, were William A. Morse b: 1836, James M. Morse b: 1838, Cynthia J. Morse b: 1839, and Miles Eddleman Morse b: 1842 in AR.
The son of Willis Aikman and Eady Morse, Samuel M. Aikman, was living with the Hubbles in Yell Co., AR, 1850.Eady Aikman was also there, but in another household.
A Mariah Aikman was married to a Marshal Hubble, who appears in different indexes as Marshall and Marshel, in Pope Co., AR.Mariah was a sister of Willis Aikman, above. I don't know if this is the only Hubble/Aikman connection, or if there is another.
On the 1860 Yell Co., AR census, there were quite a few Morse women listed, and very few Morse men.Anyone know what happened to the Morse family?
