Cornstalk
Greetings Cousins
I know, I know, I've read all the old posts on the subject but I am curious, How many have stories in their family's about Ailstocks being Indian Through Cornstalk? Its in mine through Annie Elizabeth Ailstock b.1852. I've also seen that old Absalom said that he was indian also. Then there's this Green fellow that believes it enough to put it in a book. If you were Indian would you tell The government the truth about your heritage in 1765. I like Diana Havens story about Ailstock being a Moorish Jewish name also. Depends what you want to believe I suppose. Was a big surprise when I saw the Cornstalk link in many trees on Ancestry.com. Not sure I believe it either, but why is the story in the family?
