Hi evryone, had a great letter from my brother in Crosby today, and rather than precis it I have included his information rick. "Very interesting news on the family tree investigation, I was able to get to the Formby library this morning and I have got hold of a book called Britains first lifeboat station, Formby 1776 - 1918 by Barbara and Reginald Yorke. they still live in Formby and run the Formby Society, I have thier phone number 01704827187 and have left a message on thier answer machine to contact me regarding any information they can give us, I will be putting my library book in the post to you or at least a photo copy of it as soon as I go back to work on Monday, I have attached a few of the pictures from the book to this letter for now. But !!! I was also able to get my hands on a book that has a record of every Aindow Born, died and married in England and Wales between 1837 - 1937 Dads in it Aunt lily is in it your in it !!!!!!!!! ha ha. All of the Annie Aindows that are in it are as follows, it is a ref book so I can't take it out. in order of date birth was registered and where. June 1869 Ormskirk Lancashire March 1870 Liverpool June1877 Ormskirk Lancashire Dec 1881 Ormskirk Lancashire Dec 1893 West Derby, Liverpool (aunt Lily saad we where related to the Aindows all burried in Huyton, only a few miles from here) Annie Beatrice June 1899 Warrington Dec 1901 Ormskirk Lancashire Jun 1902 West Derby Liverpool Annie Beatrice Mar 1908 Ormskirk Annie Eveline Dec 1920 Chorley Lancashire Her mothers name Baxendale! Dads birth was not registered until Sept 1921 in Ormskirk ! although Formby may have undergone boudarychanges I can not see it being under Ormskirk as this is some distanca away, I'll try and find out.it had for Dad Frank A Aindow mother Aindow Sept 1921 Ormskirk. There was a John A Aindow birth reg March 1914 mothers name Cunliffe, ? this is the name I have wrote down from the book, it may have read Cufflin ?Aunt Lily told me we had an uncle John And when I looked at the marraiges the only Annie Aindow was married in December 1922 in Liecster with her spouces name, CUFFLIN !! The civil reg office has a record of all the Aindows Births and Deaths including at sea, consular other countries and the forces, thier address is St Cathrines House, Aldwych, London, England. The auther of the reg that is in Formby is a J D Aindow, Brewery cottage, 6 High St, Sydling St Nicholas, Dorchester, Dorset, England DT2 9PB."
