Absolutely, this is the same family. I need go back and find Edward1's stone. I would love to find out what line you are from. That way I can add it to my genealogy program. Next week or so I am launching an Ainsworth website just for the study of Ainsworths. I currently have about 55% (approx 800 people) of the Parker book into the program already. I will make it available the minute I am finished. Although, I could email out a beta copy in the mean time if anybody was really that interested. This year I went to Woodstock CT, Jaffries Center NH, Claremont NH, Moline Illinois (the family has owned a company there for almost 150 years) had a steak dinner in Ainsworth Iowa (named after Edward1's descendent Danforth Hurlburt Ainworth) went to Des Moines Iowa to research Hon. Lucian Lester Ainsworth, went to Fremont Nebraska and rode the Dinnertrain there. Edward1's descendent James Edward Ainsworth was a civil engineer there and laid out 2000 miles of track for the Fremont and Elkhorn Valley Railroad. Ainsworth Nebraska is named after him. Next year I hope to go to the former Ainsworth Station Illinois, now the south side of Chicago and hit Ainsworth Indiana. I think I found an Ainsworth Wisconsin too. I have a picture of a map of a town called Ainsworth in the old Indian Territory. My brother actually went to Nebraska last year and got some information for me. I have most of the collateral lines that married into the family. At the moment, that is mostly my line. I have found three witches from Salem and one from Toppsfield Mass. Samuel F.B. Morse's family married in as well as Roger Sherman's family. George Bush and most Ainsworths are direct cousins through a common ancestor in Woodstock CT. They (The Bowen's) still live on the same property since they founded the town. Johanna Hemmingway's family goes back to Ralph Hemmenway. It is through that line we can trace out to Earnest Hemmingway. Although I haven't done that work yet. There is a lot of Ainsworth stuff out there.
