You're in luck!I happened to read your post while searching for Ainsworths in Butler Co., AL.Then a little later I was tracking the brother of my Jessie C. Ainsworth - F. L. Ainsworth - and found F. L. with son named General who was born in 1886.They are in Geneva Co. AL in the 1900 census.
I found who I believe are the parents of Jessie and F. L. in the Butler Co., AL 1860 census, but unfortunately, it lists only their initials for all members of the household. The father is J. C. and the mother is A.(Helps a lot, huh?).I haven't yet found them in 1870 to see if their names are spelled out, but I suspect that J. C. might include the name Caswell based on other posts in this forum.
In 1860, F. L. is listed only as F., and in 1880 and 1900, he is listed only as F. L.Very frustrating!!He was born about 1860. The 1900 census doesn't list month of birth for any members of his household.
Please write to me here and/or by separate email and I'll fill you in on the details of F. L.'s family. and anything else I might have found in the meantime.
If you've found out anything more on them since your post in August, please DO let me know.I could use the help, too.
