Am trying to identify a family found in Butler Co., AL in 1860.Family is headed by J. C. Ainsworth, age 31, wife is A., age 30, two sons - J. C. C. age 4, and F. age 4 months.Living next door is an apparently newly married couple - B. Ainsworth, age 20 and A., age 19.
Additional research suggests that B. Ainsworth is Barton G. Ainsworth who married Julia Ann Burkett in 1860.The marriage record found online says that a J. C. Ainsworth was the Bondsman, and the wedding location was at Joseph A. Ainsworth's place/home.
Data found on Worldconnect suggests that Barton G. was a son of Richard Nathaniel (H)Ainsworth, but I don't see any mention of a J. C. or Joseph A. among his children so far in the little that I'm finding.
The son listed as J. C. C. turns out to be Jessie C. who married a Samantha "Mattie", and died in 1922 in Geneva Co., AL.One of their daughters married a Pridgen in Geneva Co., AL.
The son listed as F. is found in 1880 and 1900, but still listed only as F. or F. L. with wife M. E. or Mandy. He seems to have stayed in Starlington, Butler Co., AL.
