I don't know much about these two, but they are the natural birth parents of my great-grandfather. What I do know is that Margaret Seymour (nee AINSWORTH & born abt. 1865 in Massachusetts) died in 1890 after complications due to childbirth. She gave birth to a son in Valley Falls, RI so it's very possible that she died there too. She was 25 years old. Thomas E. W. SEYMOUR could not raise their two children on his own and put them both up for adoption. The youngest son, John Elvyn SEYMOUR was adopted at 14 months old - in Coventry, RI - by Henry L. Cook and Anna E. Cook. John Elvyn Seymour's name was then changed, at adoption, to Alvin Seymore (or Seymour, the reprinted birth certificate - from Cumberland, RI - is too hard to read) Cook.
I have scoured many websites looking for "Thomas Seymour", "Margaret Ainsworth", and "Margaret Seymour" but they seem to have never existed. The adoption paperwork says otherwise. I can neither find census records that mention them, nor can I find birth/death records that mention them.
There is another whole line to my family that no one knows, branching from Alvin S. Cook's natural brother. We'd like to reconnect with them.
