Was "Margaret Dear" Jonathan's second wife?I have a census listing "Jonnathan Ainsworth" in Smith County, Mississippi on October 17, 1850. He is twenty-four, his wife, "Mary," is twenty-three.There are two children in the household: two year ond daughter, "Jane E." and three month old son, "Augustus Ainsworth." They are living right next door to Richard and Zilpha Ainsworth and their family.
So Jonathan's middle name is Bass. I've been told that his father married first a "Miss Bass," and then Zilphia Briggs. Can anybody help me out on that?

Can anybody help me out on that?I just got through collecting all the Ainsworth households in Hinds, Scott, Simpson and Smith Counties, Mississippi into my database. Anyone interested in what I found, please get in touch. I'd like to know who the parents are for the following heads of household found in the 1850 censuses: Thirty-five years old "Preston Ainsworth" in Scott Co., fifty-three years old "Arlow (sp?) Ainsworth" in Smith Co., thirty-one years old "Ann Ainsworth" in Smith Co., and forty-six years old "Sampson Ainsworth" in Smith Co. comments powered by Disqus
