Re Gavin Purvis and Janet Aird. These people are my ancestors. Gavin was born in Avondale 1809 he married Janet Aird in 1831. Gavin's father was Crichton Purvis and his father was Peter Purvis. Gavin Purvis had a daughter Jane who was my gggrandmother.She married Joseph Brown. They had a son Thomas who married a Helen Ross. They had two sons and a daughter Jane. This Jane was my grandmother.Hows that!
