Gavin Purves was born to Crichton Purvois and his second wife Grizzell Dalzele on 20th Feb1809. Rrachael a sister was born 19th May 1816 These births were in Strathaven. Crichtons first wife was Margaret Blackwoodwhom he married in South Leith Edinburgh.Crichton was a saddler.This couple had three children Jean Purves 8th May 1796 in Bathgate. Margaret 29th July1897 Strathaven Chrichton a daughter in 1807. Chrichton died in 1825. Grizell Dalzele was interred Strathaven. But I do not have a date Helen
